Our Summer Camp Priorities

At Miracle Camp and Retreat Center, we take great care to observe 3 basic summer camp priorities...and we want to do these priorities to the best of our ability!  We know you want the best experience for your kids, and so that's what we hope to deliver to them while they're at summer camp!

1. Safety - more than anything else, we strive for safety at camp.  Each week of camp has 2 nurses on staff plus a medical assistant!  We have 8, yep...thats E-I-G-H-T, lifeguards on summer staff the entire free time on the waterfront.  Each staff member is screened with a background check and 3 references before they work at camp.  Last year we interviewed 90 applicants for 50 summer positions...that gives us a lot of choice to pick the most TOP NOTCH, well qualified staff that are going to take care of your child while they're here in Michigan!.
2. Spiritual Growth - Our mission as a summer camp, and why we were were founded in 1965, is to help kids grow closer to God.  We want them to come away with a passion for the Bible, for their church, and to want to spend time with God daily.  We believe it's important to open the Bible each day in various ways, from personal devotion time to cabin small group time, to large chapel sessions.  We commit to helping your kids know God in a deeper way while they're here at a week of summer camp!
3. Fun - This one is pretty self explanatory...and if you don't believe us just take a look at all the activity pictures.  Miracle Camp and Retreat Center is probably one of the most fun places in the state of Michigan.  You'll spend a week of summer camp doing all sorts of fun activities with your friends that you can't do at home.  So, whether you're from Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, or Michigan...hop in the car and come join us at Miracle Camp this summer!
